According to recent research, a third of all sport fields will, in future, be covered with artificial grass. Besides the already mentioned advantages, artificial grass offers these additional assets:
• the ball bounces and rolls exactly the way it does on natural grass;
• it guarantees high play comfort and pleasure;
• more certainty: the weather conditions cannot hinder the play;
• no imperfections in the surface that can cause injuries;
• the elastic character ensures minimal stress on muscles and joints;
• extension of the play season: possibilities for an autumn competition;
• extra revenue due to a greatly increased availability;
• lines only have to be drawn once, they are not vulnerable to wear and they are always clearly visible;
• optimal and continuous play technical qualities: the even surface prevents manipulation of the ball behaviour;
• intensively played areas like the baseline (tennis), the goal (soccer and hockey) or the basket zone (basketball - korfball) are resistant to hard use.

tennis: in spite of the fact that the installation of gravel courts is 40% cheaper, maintenance of these courts will, over a period of 10 years, by far exceed the total cost price of artificial grass. Annual transportation of new gravel, disposal of the old gravel, water usage, but mainly the quantity of man hours (three times higher than for artificial grass) to be ready to play at the beginning of the new season and the intensive maintenance are a heavy burden. The costs associated with artificial grass are limited to an annual cleaning and brushing and a more extensive clean every five years in which the quartz sand and/or rubber granules are filtered and infilled again. Moreover, shoes, fabrics and the canteen are saved from the sticky gravel dust and the courts no longer have to be swept or watered. ResiTurf filled with quartz sand results in a hard court on which the ball bounces well;

golf: on the driving range as well as on the putting green, the use of artificial grass is very popular. Especially on greens that are close to trees, you will hardly ever find any natural grass. Not only the putting green but also the area around the green can be laid with artificial grass. For a realistic look, ResiGrass or ResiTurf Pro are most suitable. Used indoors, differently coloured grass can be used, for example yellow grass for bunkers and blue for water. Ball collection machines are able to pass easily over these surfaces. Markings can be applied with tape or paint;

minigolf: the frizzled ResiTurf Pro is the ideal choice for indoor playgrounds because of the minimal use of sand, which will be almost invisible. Outdoors, ResiTurf is a good alternative when it is filled with quartz sand. The even texture of the surface permits the ball to roll truly;

soccer: since the official approval by fifa and uefa, this is the fastest growing market for artificial grass: from deep frozen surfaces at the pole circle to bare soil at the equator, it is the perfect solution for a uniform playing surface. Several international sport clubs have already used it in their stadium, others will follow. ResiGrass filled in with a combination of quartz sand and rubber granules, minimizes foot injuries and grazes. Furthermore, it enables players to slide safely without the risk of friction burns because the heat generated by the friction is absorbed by the rubber. This also acts as a cushion if players falls over when tackling or goal keeping. Weight, size of granules, shattering resistance, load resistance, colour and odour of the rubber granules have been proven to withstand the effects of ageing after extensive testing;

hockey: in this sport the use of artificial grass is the most popular. The latest developments include the use of water on field, speeding up the game and make it even more exciting, allowing more goals to be scored. The ResiTurf Pro field is watered with sprinklers;

korfball: there is a trend that makes korfball clubs opt for artificial grass. The high bounce of the ball on the ResiTurf filled in with quartz sand, achieves a movement pattern that is comparable to indoor korfball. Worn, grassless areas within the korf zone become a thing of the past. Competition and training fields can be combined, maximizing space which is often limited.
