The power of green:
Nature is in full bloom again and you will find the different shades of green in the hedges, leaves and grass around you. But green is also the trend color of 2022 for garden furniture. For all those who start to shudder at the thought of cheap bright green: fear no more.
Different lines in sage/khaki or olive green give a modern look to your terrace. On top of that, green is also an inspiring and calming color, ideal for your ideal reading corner outside!

Don’t skip the rope
Furthermore, the 'back to nature' theme is persisted throughout the use of natural materials. A striking entry this season is the use of rope, or rope in which furniture and lamps are woven. The shapes look clean and modern, but the material gives it a warm touch.

Organic shapes and colors for playfulness
Don't stick too hard to green and rope because then you quickly get an overly uniform lot, but add color with details like pillows, lanterns and outdoor rugs. The shape of the cushions and side tables for example will be much more organic this summer, to bring more flow into the whole.
When choosing color it is best to use the 80-20 rule for a harmonious whole:
- 80% basic color (best a neutral color such as gray, white, beige)
- 20% accent color (can certainly be a brighter color)

Finally, the pandemic ushered in a new era where working from home became more and more the norm. Because in your home office you can see the walls closing in on you, there's nothing more fun than an outdoor office. Unless it rains, of course! Or is it? If you have the space for a roof, it is the solution for anyone who likes to get some fresh air without being disturbed by the rain.
A veranda or covered terrace is also perfect for spending the long summer evenings under and even in spring and autumn they are wonderful to stay under with a fire or plaid.
